Eliana's Story...
ELIANA NESOCHUKWU EBUBE-GABRIEL’S Heartbreaking yet Courageous Battle with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL)
Our world was shattered into a million pieces when our precious 2-year-old daughter, Eliana Nesochukwu, was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL). As her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Nelson Ebube Okeke, our hearts were shrouded in darkness, but we knew we had to be strong for our little girl.
Eliana’s symptoms started with weakness, pale skin, and persistent fever. At first, we thought it was just a normal toddler phase, but as the symptoms persisted, we sought medical attention at Tehila Children Hospital, then proceed to Rivers State University Teaching Hospital (RSUT), both in Port Harcourt, River State, Nigeria. After a series of tests, scans, and X-rays, the results revealed abnormal blood counts, leading to a referral to a pediatric oncologist.
The wait for the diagnosis was agonizing, but nothing could have prepared us for the devastating news: Eliana Nesochukwu had Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) after a Bone Marrow Aspiration Test was done. Our world crumbled, and our hearts were broken into a million pieces.
Since the diagnosis, Eliana has undergone extensive medical therapy, including chemotherapy. But despite our hopes and prayers, the chemotherapy hasn’t yielded the desired results after the bone marrow aspiration test was done the second time, and her condition remains critical. We’ve been left with the only viable option: A BONE MARROW TRANSPLANT.
This new development has brought additional challenges, but we’re determined to explore every possibility to save our daughter’s life. As a family, we’re committed to standing by Eliana throughout this arduous journey. We know the road ahead is long and challenging, but with determination, love, and your support, we’re confident Eliana will overcome cancer.
We’re grateful for your prayers, encouragement, and your support during this difficult period. Your kindness means the world to us, and we’re thankful for your presence in Eliana’s life. Kindly support us in any way you can.
Thank you for being part of Eliana’s journey. Your love and support are a beacon of hope in our darkest moments.
